Inspiring Workshop Experience!

Exploring the art of making oil paint. May 2017

In 2016, I had the opportunity to attend a four day workshop at the New York Academy of Art in New York City. The workshop was instructed by Alyssa Monks- an incredibly talented and inspirational artist. The workshop exceeded all of my expectations and I am still feeling the excitement of it all! As a result of this great experience, I began working on a new series of paintings, using the techniques I learned.

Here are a few pics of my trip to New York....and please check back to see the progress of my new work.

Art at the Pumphouse

August 4 & 5 2018   10am-5pm

Niagara Pumphouse Arts Centre

247 Ricardo Street NOTL

I am super excited to be a part of the Art Show and Sale Art at the Pumphouse in beautiful Niagara-on-the-Lake again this year!

I have a lot of new oil paintings and drawings to show and sell.

Hope to see you there!!!

I visited my favourite art store, Kama Pigments, and I purchased a beautiful, handmade glass muller and the raw materials to make oil paint.  I used my muller to make paint with dry pigment and walnut oil. Here are a few pics! So satisfying!
